Registered Nurse - Cath Lab/Interventional

About the Role

Provides specialized care in the Cardiac Cath Lab, performing procedures as circulator, scrub, or monitor, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsible for patient preparation, medication administration, hemostasis, and education of patients and families. Must demonstrate competency in caring for critically ill patients and work independently in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Cath Lab procedures and patient care activities
• Perform patient assessment and administer medications
• Ensure accurate documentation, billing, and charges
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care
• Maintain safety standards and perform point of care testing as needed
• Support families and escort patients when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent
• Current RN licensure with relevant state certifications (BLS, ALS or PALS)
• Critical care and sedation experience preferred
• Strong critical judgment, communication, and patient education skills
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform clinical tasks
• Ability to work variable schedules with call rotations
• Physical stamina and alertness required for patient safety
• Valid licensure and certifications according to state regulations
