Registered Nurse - Cath Lab/Interventional

About the role

The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Electrophysiology department coordinates and delivers high-quality care to adult patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a circulator, scrub, or monitor during procedures
• Prepare patients and ensure accurate history and physical documentation
• Administer medications, assess patient status, and report abnormalities
• Perform hemostasis and enter patient orders and charges
• Provide critical care independently, especially for critically ill patients
• Educate patients and families, explaining procedures and tests
• Support family members and assist with point-of-care testing as needed

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent
• Current RN licensure and BLS certification
• ALS or PALS certifications preferred
• Experience in critical care and sedation is preferred but not required
• Strong critical judgment, communication skills, and physical ability to perform job duties
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, stressful environment

Additional requirements

• State-specific licensure/certifications for Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin
• Physical stamina for constant standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive movements
