Registered Nurse - Cath Lab - Full Time - Day Shift

About the Role

The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients during pre and post-procedure phases. They assist in performing interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, valvuloplasties, angioplasties, and stents. Other procedures include inserting pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).

Responsibilities

• Assists in performing interventional procedures like cardiac catheterizations, valvuloplasties, angioplasties, and stents.
• Administers moderate sedation, pain medication, and any other medications ordered by the physician during the procedure.
• Initiates or maintains medication drips to manage the patient hemodynamically.
• Conducts point-of-care lab testing as ordered.
• Circulates cases.

Requirements

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: Previous nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri.
• Required: Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire date.
• Required: Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire date.
