Registered Nurse - Cath Lab - Full Time - Day Shift

About the role

The Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse at CoxHealth South provides nursing care to patients during pre and post-procedure phases. This role involves assisting in performing interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, valvuloplasties, angioplasties, and stents. The nurse also circulates cases, administers medications, and conducts point-of-care lab tests.

Responsibilities

• Assists in performing interventional procedures like cardiac catheterizations, valvuloplasties, angioplasties, and stents.
• Inserts pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
• Administers moderate sedation, pain medication, and other medications as ordered by the physician.
• Initiates or maintains medication drips to manage the patient hemodynamically.
• Conducts point-of-care lab testing as ordered.

Requirements

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: Previous nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Required: RN license active in the state of Missouri.
• Required: Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire date.
• Required: Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire date.
