About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care using the nursing process, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and professional accountability for assigned patients. They evaluate the care quality delivered by colleagues and coordinate interdisciplinary care to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Utilize nursing skills to deliver safe, effective care aligned with organizational standards.
- Evaluate care effectiveness and collaborate with healthcare teams.
- Uphold patient rights and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Perform duties consistent with mission, values, and service standards.
Unit Focus
Specialized in Cardiac/Neuro care, managing neurological conditions such as strokes, brain injuries, seizures, post-op neurosurgical patients, spinal injuries, and stable cardiac patients like post-cardiac catheterization, pacemaker patients, and those under cardiac monitoring.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing program (ADN, Diploma, BSN).
- Current RN licensure in the state or compact licensing requirements.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, TNCC, or others may be required based on the unit.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform various physical tasks.
