About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, effective, and patient-centered care by utilizing the nursing process, evaluating care effectiveness, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. They uphold patient rights, maintain confidentiality, and align duties with organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Care for neurological and cardiac patients in a specialized Cardiac/Neuro unit, including stroke, brain injury, seizures, post-op craniotomy, spinal injuries, and stable cardiac patients such as post-cath or pacemaker recipients.
- Evaluate and coordinate patient care, ensuring quality and safety.
Qualifications
- Must have a nursing degree (associate’s, diploma, or BSN).
- Hold a current RN license.
- Obtain/maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, or specialized unit certifications may be required based on the role.
Skills & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and kneeling.
