Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac and medical-surgical patients by implementing individualized care plans that support recovery and positive clinical outcomes.
  • Monitor, assess, and communicate changes in patient condition to ensure timely interventions and coordinated care across the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and support services to provide seamless, patient-centered care throughout the hospitalization.
  • Administer treatments and carry out physician and nursing orders accurately while promoting patient safety and clinical excellence.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and patient education to support successful transitions of care, improve recovery, and reduce readmissions.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required.
  • Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.

Qualifications

Recent hospital experience is preferred.
