About the Role
Acts as a key member of the multidisciplinary team to advocate, educate, and support breast disease patients. Coordinates patient care, serves as a clinical resource, and acts as a liaison within the healthcare facility and community. Provides expert nursing care, patient education, and support throughout diagnosis and treatment, ensuring seamless and comprehensive services. Facilitates communication among patients, families, and healthcare providers, schedules tests and treatments, and assists with treatment planning.
Participates in research, quality improvement, policy development, and community outreach to promote early detection and education. Mentors staff, promotes evidence-based practice, and maintains clinical expertise.
Responsibilities

- Stay updated on current practices in breast oncology nursing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred)
- At least 1 year of clinical oncology experience
- Current RN license in Illinois
- Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN) certification required
- CPR certification required
