Registered Nurse - Breast Navigation

About the Role

A Registered Nurse, Breast Navigator acts as an advocate, educator, and counselor for breast disease patients, coordinating comprehensive care and serving as a clinical resource and liaison within the healthcare team and community.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care, patient education, and support.
• Develop and review policies and promote evidence-based practice.
• Participate in research and quality improvement projects.
• Facilitate communication among patients, families, and providers.
• Mentor staff and engage in community outreach and education initiatives.
• Provide age-appropriate care and coordinate tests and treatments.
• Support patient decision-making and ensure timely communication.
• Serve as a resource for community events and staff education.
• Contribute to process improvements and research efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Active RN license.
• Certified Breast Care Nurse (CBCN) certification.
• CPR certification.
• Oncology nursing experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Oncology Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (AOCNS).
