Responsibilities
- Utilize specialized plan-of-care intervention and serve as a patient-care innovator.
- Shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage skills with cutting-edge technology.
- Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Document patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain patient condition monitoring, recording, and communication with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
- Assess learning needs and deliver age- and culture-appropriate patient and family education.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participate in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.
- Provide quality patient care and work other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.
Requirements
- Current state RN license.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 14 days of hire.
- Requires one year of nursing experience.
