About the role
Join as an RN in Adult Behavioral Health, providing direct patient care in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conducting admitting and shift assessments, including behavioral evaluations.
- Utilizing critical thinking to analyze patient data and notify physicians of changes.
- Participating in multidisciplinary treatment planning and documentation.
- Ensuring patient and environmental safety, supervising care by LPNs and techs.
- Educating patients and families, applying evidence-based practices, and adhering to professional nursing standards.
- Demonstrating professional conduct, maintaining safety, and performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
- Current RN license in Missouri or eligible via compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- No prior experience required.
Skills and physical requirements
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and safety awareness.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, walking, and environmental assessments.
- Proficiency in documentation and patient education.
