Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator (RNAC) -MDS Coordinator

At FutureCare, our RNAC-Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinators/MDS are integral members of our interdisciplinary team, responsible for accurately collecting and assessing data on residents to ensure specific elements are encoded in the MDS and submitted to CMS. Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the development and accurate completion of the MDS in accordance with current RAI processes, Federal and state regulations.
• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team and monitor clinical documentation to provide accurate and timely MDS scheduling and completion.
• Partner with IDT to evaluate Quality Measures.
• Review completed MDS assessments for accuracy, using MDS software to review coding inconsistencies and opportunities, prior to locking MDS assessments.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure to work in Maryland (Maryland or Compact State).
• 3+ years’ experience as an MDS-Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator, including ICD-10 coding experience.
• Progressive nursing experience preferably in a resident assessment environment.
• Must possess managerial and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient understanding of PDPM and clinical documentation requirements.
• Able to build positive relationships and work cooperatively with an interdisciplinary team.
• A willingness to both learn and teach, with adaptability to make changes when needed.
• In-depth experience and knowledge with PDPM and CMI as related to Medicare and Medicaid service reimbursements.

Pay

Salary Range: $87,000 - $102,000 Annual
