Registered Nurse- Ambulatory Women's Health & OB/GYN (Full-Time) Days-West Bloomfield

About the role

This position manages the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital. Responsibilities include leading the team, utilizing the nursing process, communicating effectively, demonstrating clinical competence, scheduling non-stress tests (NSTs), obstetric intake, and nurse visits.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Communicates with the health care team.
• Demonstrates clinical competence.
• Schedules non-stress tests (NSTs), obstetric intakes, and nurse visits.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• Prior Women's Health Experience Preferred.
• EFM (External Fetal Monitoring) experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.

Skills

• Effective communication with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
