Registered Nurse RN Ambulatory Internal Med FT - West Bloomfield

About the Role

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. Works independently and in collaboration with principal investigators when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• In-basket management
• Patient assessment
• Phone triage
• Medication refills
• Allergy shots administration

This clinic is supported by 8 providers.

Schedule

Full Time - 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday. Hours range from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. No weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience in an inpatient or ambulatory clinic environment
• Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation
• Current clinical knowledge in area of specialty
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
• Effective communication with patients, families, and medical group personnel
• Preferred experience in the specialty
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills

Qualifications

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy
• Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard (e.g., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN))
