Registered Nurse - Advanced Acute Care Medical

About the role

Inpatient Registered Nurse in a fast-paced, advanced acute care unit, providing complex care for patients with diverse medical conditions including respiratory, cardiac, renal, gastrointestinal, and postoperative issues. Work involves a clinical environment with opportunities for advancement, mentorship, and participation in organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, develop and coordinate individualized care plans, administer treatments and medications, evaluate intervention effectiveness, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs
• Ensure compassionate, safe, and patient-centered care while promoting safety and satisfaction
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and unit decision-making
• Execute nursing activities per standards and address holistic patient needs
• Educate patients and families
• Revise care plans based on patient responses
• Support organizational safety and quality goals
• Engage in professional growth and adhere to policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Graduate from a specialty nursing training program
• Ability to perform assessments, provide direct patient care, problem-solve equipment issues, and work effectively within a team
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to safety and quality
