Ambercare Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse Admissions to join our newly restructured team in Espanola, NM. Responsibilities
- Perform pre-admission evaluations for the appropriateness of services.
- Initiate the admission process by educating and informing patients/families of its services.
- Obtain informed consent.
- Provide nursing assessment, initial plan of care, and intervention(s) that optimize patient and family-directed comfort and quality of life.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
- Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
- Must possess current CPR Certification.
- 1 year of Hospice experience, preferred.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, agency personnel, and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and assurance procedures.
