Coordinates daily nursing operations to ensure quality patient care and clinical objectives in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include staff management, patient flow, and emergency coordination.
Responsibilities
- Assigns, directs, and monitors nursing staff
- Serves as a resource for clinical and operational questions
- Manages patient flow and emergency responses
- Evaluates effectiveness of patient care
- Handles patient and family complaints
- Participates in hiring and training of staff
- Leads incident command during disasters or emergencies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum two years of RN experience with leadership roles
- Valid RN license in applicable states
- BLS healthcare provider certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies
- Physical ability for standing, walking, lifting, and patient movement
- Alertness and safety awareness
