About the role
The Nursing Supervisor oversees daily clinical operations, ensuring quality patient care and achievement of clinical objectives. Serves as a resource, manages patient flow, and responds to patient emergencies. Leads incident command during internal or external disasters until relieved. Performs duties with constant alertness, ensuring a safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing and support staff during shifts.
- Evaluates patient care effectiveness and addresses issues impacting outcomes.
- Handles patient care complaints.
- Supports staff hiring, training, development, and evaluation.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
- At least two years of registered nurse experience with demonstrated leadership.
- Current RN license and BLS certification for the relevant state.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform patient-related activities.
Skills
