Registered Nurse Acute (RN) - Post Partum

About the Role
Provides holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care for patients, families, and/or others for a patient population within a unit, service, or other primary area of practice. Applies the nursing process within the context of the organization's Framework for Professional Practice. Functions as clinically competent, delegates and supervises work appropriately, and reports to the Unit Manager.
Schedule
36 hours permanent night shift position, every third weekend, every other holiday.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care with an awareness of the episode of care.
- Apply the nursing process within the organization’s professional practice framework.
- Delegate and supervise work appropriately.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN License.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school (ASN required, BSN preferred).
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.
- One year of nursing experience required; previous maternity experience preferred.
- Maternal/Newborn experience preferred.
- Experience in Women’s Health or postoperative care desired.
