Registered Nurse - Acute Care - Night Shift

About the role

The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. They practice within a clinical environment guided by evidence-based standards, professional models, and organizational policies, ensuring adherence to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code of Ethics.

Responsibilities

• Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and individualized care approaches.
• Deliver relationship-based, culturally competent care tailored to patient needs and characteristics.
• Partner with patients and families through effective communication and patient education, maintaining focus on patient goals.
• Coordinate and document safe, quality care using inclusive interdisciplinary methods, supporting performance improvement and research activities.
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor, fostering a competent and future-ready workforce.
• Promote evidence-based practice, participate in data collection, and support safety and quality initiatives.
• Support resource management and develop protocols to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Nursing degree; preferred.
• Valid RN license (single or multi-state Compact).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and others as required.
• Less than one year of clinical experience or completion of accredited nursing program.
