Registered Nurse - Acute Care, Medical/Surgical, Full-Time, Night

About the role

This position provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting, focusing on patient/family-centered care. The nurse demonstrates clinical competency through evidence-based practices across assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, integrating safety, cost containment, and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team, updating them based on patient condition changes.
• Provide direct patient care, delegate tasks, monitor care quality, and ensure safety.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Emphasize effective communication, patient education, advocacy, and adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred) or nursing diploma with RN licensure.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience or completion of a recognized nurse residency program; LPN experience may be considered for internal candidates.
• Current RN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact or applicable state licensing.
• Strong knowledge of nursing standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and teaching skills.
• Commitment to professional development and maintaining licensure.

Key Duties
