Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist - Full-Time, Day Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist specializing in EEG and epilepsy monitoring. This role involves performing high-quality EEGs, including awake, asleep, video EEGs, and portable studies, following ACNS guidelines and departmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG studies (awake, asleep, video EEGs, and portable studies) in accordance with ACNS guidelines and departmental policies.
• Calibrate and adjust EEG equipment to ensure accurate recordings.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening situations during studies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot neurodiagnostic equipment.
• Support staff development and training initiatives.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Completion of a Neurodiagnostic program (preferred).
• Certification by ABRET or equivalent credentialing body (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• No prior experience necessary, though neurodiagnostic experience is advantageous.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of EEG interpretation and seizure identification.

Schedule

This role supports departmental operations during day shifts.
