Registered ER Nurse Nights

About the role

Every day, our Registered Nurses deliver excellence and compassionate care to patients in the ER at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. This is a full-time position with a shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Organizes, prioritizes, and updates plan of care in collaboration with patients, family, and significant others.
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
• Monitors, records, and updates care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifies sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
• Responds to medical emergencies for critical patients.
• Demonstrates high emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience, including simplifying medical terminology and concepts for patients.
• Maintains professional accountability and development.

Requirements

• Active RN (Registered Nurse) License.
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's, or higher degree in Nursing.
• 1 year of registered nurse ER experience.
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association.
• PALS certification with the American Heart Association.
