Registered Echo Technologist, Per Diem Every Other Weekend Day Shift, Cardiology

About the role

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Registered Echo Tech who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for examinations by checking equipment and inventorying and restocking supplies
• Answers patient questions about examination
• Prepares patients by positioning patient; attaching electrodes to chest and equipment; and adjusting equipment controls
• Records examination information by printing graphics and data
• Protects patients by adhering to safety policies and protocols
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
• Recognizes abnormal EKG patterns and alerts physicians and appropriate staff as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program preferred
• 1 year scanning experience preferred
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• RDMS certification within one year of hire preferred
• RDMS or CCI strongly preferred

Schedule

• Employment Type: Per Diem
• Hours per Week: 10
• Typical Daily Schedule: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM Saturday and Sunday
• Shift Type: Day
• Weekend Requirements: Required every other weekend commitment
• Holiday Requirements: Required (follow company holiday calendar)
• On-Call: Yes, as needed
• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Pay

This is a per diem position with a rate of $45/hour.
