Registered Dietitian

About the role

DaVita is looking for a Registered Dietitian (RD) to help educate our patients and their families in the Huber Heights and Springfield, OH area. You will provide service and education to dialysis patients and their families by supporting their nutritional well-being. This position offers flexible scheduling (Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, 30 hours/week) with no weekends or holidays. You will work between two clinical locations in Huber Heights and Springfield, OH, with mileage compensation provided. You may also travel within the Greater Dayton area to support the Dietitian team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze lab-work results to educate patients and their families on individualized dietary needs.
• Evaluate comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments consistent with CMS regulations.
• Assess ongoing nutritional status to determine appropriate nutrition interventions and recommendations.
• Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting.
• After hire and training, successfully complete the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) with a score of at least 80%.

Requirements

• State licensure as required by the State of Ohio.
• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a similar area.
• 1 year of Clinical Dietitian experience.
• Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; functional proficiency with DaVita-specific applications within 60 days.
• Comfortable working between two clinical locations and traveling within the Greater Dayton area as needed.
