Pay

Hourly rate starting at $57/hr with uncapped bonus potential based on production.

Schedule

  • 4-day work week, no weekends
  • Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Friday: Off

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains
  • Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments, including reviewing medical history, evaluating gum health, and identifying potential issues
  • Take and develop dental X-rays following established protocols for patient safety
  • Complete oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments
  • Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ oral health needs
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition, to prevent dental issues and promote whole-body health
  • Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants to help protect teeth from decay
  • Document patient information and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records
  • Monitor and maintain dental equipment and instruments to ensure proper functionality and infection control
  • Uphold strict infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with industry standards and regulations
  • Provide exceptional patient care by ensuring a comfortable and friendly environment during appointments
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene and oral health through continuing education
  • Mentor and coach members of the hygiene team for continuous process improvements

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in relevant area of study / graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
  • State license required
  • Certification in local anesthesia administration (if required by practice)
  • CPR certification
  • 1–2+ years of progressive experience as a registered dental hygienist
  • Comfortable with dental technology
