Registered Charge Nurse - Acuity Adaptable Unit

Overview: The RN Charge Nurse provides leadership and clinical expertise during their shift, ensuring appropriate staffing, resource management, and high-quality patient care. They assess patients holistically, develop and revise individualized care plans collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, and supervise care delivery through delegation and coordination. Responsibilities include: evaluating patient responses, promoting professionalism, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, managing staffing and resources efficiently, mediating conflicts, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. They act as a resource for setting expectations, resolving issues, and maintaining safety protocols, including activating emergency responses when needed. Qualifications: Current RN license, BLS certification, unit-specific certifications, clinical experience, mentoring skills, and a BSN (with a four-year completion requirement). Preferred qualifications include one year of clinical experience. Skills required: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, collaboration, leadership, and communication.
