Charge Nurse - Acuity-Adaptable

Job Summary The RN Charge Nurse provides leadership, clinical expertise, and coordination on their shift and department. They assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure optimal staffing levels aligned with patient requirements and budget considerations. They act as a role model of professionalism, competency, and accountability, mentoring staff and promoting best practices. Responsibilities include delegating care, managing resources, evaluating patient responses, and ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. They facilitate effective communication, conflict resolution, and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives. The role requires assessment, planning, leadership, and collaboration skills, along with a current RN license, BLS certification, and clinical experience in the assigned area. A BSN is preferred, with a requirement to obtain it within four years if not already held. Physical demands include maintaining patient safety, operating equipment, and manual handling.
