About the role

At The Place for Children with Autism, we're a team dedicated to helping children with autism thrive. As a Behavior Therapist, you'll help children develop new skills, celebrate milestones, and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Work 1:1 with children between the ages of 2-8 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Implement individualized therapy programs designed by our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
  • Collect data and participate in team discussions around progress and strategy.
  • Bring energy, creativity, and passion to engage children through play, movement, and laughter.
  • Partner with clients and their families to celebrate wins, problem-solve challenges, and promote growth.

Requirements

  • Energetic team player with the ability to bend, squat, lift up to 30 pounds, and keep pace with energetic young learners.
  • Collaborative and ready to take on multiple tasks and decisions at once.
  • Positive role model committed to safety, keeping the therapy environment organized, safe, and welcoming.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and hold a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Accessible to reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.

Qualifications

  • High School or Associate’s Degree: $17.05 – $23.00 per hour, with $1.00 per hour increases every six months (based on your starting level at hire).
  • Master’s Degree: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for working with children and individuals with autism.
