About the role
As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. This role involves physical activity, including standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and at times carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans for children with autism.
- Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
- Reduce interfering behaviors in a one-on-one setting.
- Work collaboratively with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and team members.
Requirements
- Passionate about helping children with autism.
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
- 18+ years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification, and Tuberculosis test (if not completed in the last year).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Physical ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.) and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Pay
$17 - $20 per hour.
