Start a career and shape futures as a Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT) with BAYADA. Seeking recent graduates, paraprofessionals, skills trainers, educational assistants, and those interested in working with individuals with Autism and other Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDDs). Begin as a Behavior Technician Trainee and become an RBT in just a few weeks through our BAYADA RBT Academy.
About the Role
At BAYADA Behavioral Health, a non-profit employer, we provide education and training to help you learn and grow in your career. Our Oahu Behavioral Health Team delivers care in a school-based setting for local school districts on Oahu.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams.
- Respect the values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes of clients and families.
- Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support students in the classroom.
- Document interventions and progress toward goals.
- Collect behavior data as specified in the client behavior plan.
- Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help students acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals.
- Support clients in interpersonal skills, personal relationship development, and building independence in their school routine.
- Help school-age children succeed with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree OR 48 college credits including Math 100 and English 100 OR a High School Diploma/GED with passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available).
- No prior experience necessary.
- Complete the RBT Academy and pass the RBT Exam to become an RBT with BAYADA.

Pay
Starting pay: $30 per hour.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:00 PM.
- Weekly pay.
