What this job involves
The Regional Workplace Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day facilities management operations for their assigned client locations, ensuring exceptional workplace experiences that support productivity, collaboration, and employee satisfaction. This role serves as the primary on-site leader coordinating all workplace services while maintaining the client's workplace standards and culture.
What your day-to-day will look like
- Oversee all aspects of facility operations including maintenance, engineering services, workplace experience, and vendor management
- Lead and develop on-site teams including Workplace Coordinators, Guest Services Ambassadors, and technical staff
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client's local leadership team on all workplace and facilities matters
- Implement site-specific workplace strategies aligned with the client's global standards and local requirements
- Manage site budgets and financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost optimization
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and corporate policies
- Cookordinate workplace projects including small renovations, furniture reconfigurations, and space planning
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with building management, vendors, and service providers
- Oversee the resolution of workplace issues through effective service request management
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace experience and operational efficiency
- Cookordinate special events, meetings, and workplace activities to support the client's culture
- Prepare and present regular reports on site financial performance & service delivery
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management or workplace services
- 3+ years of supervisory experience leading facility teams
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and workplace operations
- Experience managing vendor relationships and service contracts
- Proficiency in facilities management software, Google Workspace, Slack and similar office productivity tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Customer service mindset with a focus on enhancing employee experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as FMP, CFM, or related credential
- Experience working in technology industry environments
- Knowledge of workplace experience best practices and trends
- Experience managing facilities in similar-sized corporate environments
- Project management skills and experience leading small to medium workplace projects
- Experience with IWMS systems and workplace technology platforms
- Understanding of sustainability practices in facilities management
- Knowledge of local regulations specific to the site location
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field
Working Environment
- This role is based full time on-site at the designated client location in New York with occasional travel to Chicago and Toronto, requiring regular presence to oversee operations and respond to workplace needs.
- The position involves walking throughout the facility daily, inspecting building systems, and addressing physical aspects of the workplace.
- Some evening or weekend work may be required during special events or maintenance activities.
