Regional VP, Operations

About the role

The Regional VP, Operations is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple hospitals within a region. This position is accountable for planning, organizing, and directing these hospitals to ensure that quality patient care is provided and that the financial integrity of the hospital is maintained. The Regional VP, Operations also ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as all policies and procedures set forth by the Governing Board and Medical Staff, and those required by Joint Commission standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality patient care is provided across multiple hospitals within the region.
• Maintain the financial integrity of the hospitals under their oversight.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Create and maintain an environment and culture that supports the hospitals' mission and goals.
• Hold staff accountable for performance and motivate them to improve.
• Promote and maintain an inclusive work environment that is respectful and accepting of diversity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of healthcare management experience, preferably in a leadership role.
• Experience in managing multiple hospitals or healthcare facilities.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex operations.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience in strategic planning and implementation.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and best practices.
• Experience in managing budgets and financial reporting.
