About the role

The Regional Vice President of Sales is a strategic leader responsible for directing and advancing sales initiatives within the Midwest region. This role oversees the entire spectrum of sales operations, drives revenue growth, and fosters key client relationships to ensure sustained success and expansion. The region includes three major branches in Chicago, Cleveland, and Omaha, with multiple offices throughout the Midwest. This is a full-time, hybrid position located in Bedford Park, IL or Cleveland, OH, reporting to the Midwest Region President.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all sales operations within the Midwest region; develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse sales team of 7-10 direct reports, ensuring alignment with business goals; provide ongoing coaching, professional development, and performance feedback.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders; collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Oversee evaluation of individual and team performance against targets and KPIs; implement corrective measures and provide strategic feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic partnerships to expand the customer base and increase market share.
  • Lead regional sales forecasting and budgeting in collaboration with key stakeholders; monitor performance against forecasts, analyze variances, and take corrective action.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other regions, marketing, product development, finance, and other departments to align strategies and ensure seamless communication.
  • Generate regular reports on regional sales performance, trends, and forecasts; utilize data analysis to derive actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Oversee and nurture key accounts, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for growth; develop and execute strategic plans to maximize value from key client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • Foodservice equipment and supply experience strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership, demonstrating a track record of success.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow sales teams, achieving and exceeding ambitious targets.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to drive operational improvements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, particularly in executive-level engagements.
  • Willingness and ability to travel based on regional business needs.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Pay

Compensation includes a posted base salary range and does not reflect potential commission, incentive, bonus, or other additional compensation opportunities. Total compensation is determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and other job-related factors. Leadership positions may qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
