Job Description
The Regional Site Support Specialist is a hands-on IT technical resource responsible for delivering on-site technology support, maintenance, and break/fix repairs across a defined group of company locations. This role travels regularly between sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain end-user hardware, network equipment, and business-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite technical support for hardware and software systems in healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and medical offices.
- Aid with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of medical equipment, computer systems, and networking devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by healthcare staff, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, virus scans, and equipment inspections, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Cook up with internal IT teams and external vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Document all service activities, including troubleshooting steps, solutions implemented, and equipment configurations, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures when working in healthcare environments.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking equipment usage, ordering replacement parts, and maintaining stock levels.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to suggestions for process improvement and ticket reduction.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- An associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field preferred.
- A strong interest in technology and a desire to pursue a career in healthcare IT.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with healthcare staff and patients.
- A basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Pay
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $24.02 - $36.03, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
