About the Role

As a Regional Security Supervisor for DK Security, you will oversee security officers under one of our company's premiere contracts. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties. You must be capable of performing all the duties of the security officers under your supervision while demonstrating leadership in professionalism and dedication. Security Supervisors are responsible not only for their own conduct and performance but also for that of their subordinates, including matters not covered by written procedure. You will ensure officers comply with contract requirements and applicable laws, actively address misconduct, and notify management of evolving employee concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service: Be a positive reflection of the company by assisting client staff, visitors, and coworkers while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Observe and Report: Stay alert for suspicious activities and incidents.
  • Security Presence: Maintain a professional appearance and stand guard in building lobbies, reception areas, control centers, etc.
  • Security Officer Duties: Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas.
  • Access Control: Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas, verify employee and vendor IDs, and follow proper access procedures.
  • Safety Patrol: Enforce policies and procedures, report safety concerns, and maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors.
  • Emergency Response: Assist in emergencies, administer CPR/First Aid/AED, and communicate with emergency personnel using proper protocols.
  • Security Liaison: Maintain professional communication with client staff, follow through on requests, and keep management updated on all client communications.
  • Be familiar with company policies, client policies, and post orders for all job sites under your supervision.
  • Travel to various locations using your personal vehicle to inspect officer performance, uniform compliance, and adherence to policies. Check employee welfare and address operational needs.
  • Be on call 24/7 for emergencies and last-minute coverage. Work with the security team and scheduler to cover call-offs and fill shifts as needed.
  • Report last-minute changes or disciplinary concerns to corporate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
  • Must pass a drug screening at hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana; federal compliance required).
  • No felony convictions or misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information/evidence, controlled substances (including marijuana), or two or more alcohol-related offenses.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk (including stairs) for 8–12 hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certified (or willing to become certified) and physically capable of administering lifesaving care.
  • Ability to see clearly at least 20 feet away (with corrective lenses if needed).
  • Ability to hear conversations in loud environments, in-person or via radio.
  • Ability to use a smartphone or computer to check emails and complete online training.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Military veterans and individuals with security, firefighting, corrections, or law enforcement experience are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, 2nd and 3rd shifts.
  • Weekend availability required.
  • On-call 24/7 for emergencies and last-minute coverage.

Pay

$19.62 per hour.

This is an unarmed security position; weapons are not permitted on the premises, including in personal vehicles.
