What You Will Contribute

As a Regional Sales Representative, you will be responsible for the direct sales growth, account management, and marketing activities within the appointed region of Western US Regions. The Regional Sales Representative’s leadership is key to maintaining the company’s image through different sales channels (Municipalities, State DOT, Dealers) for quality products and services. You will be able to accomplish this by:

  • Forecasting, development, and effective implementation of sales and marketing plans to achieve territory sales forecasts.
  • Effective territory management, including establishment of buying cycles, customer needs and relations, is critical to success.
  • Recommendations for advertising programs, regional trade shows, and other market specific activities to cost effectively promote Henderson Products.
  • Identify revenue opportunities and monitor competitive activity and trends, informing management as appropriate.
  • Maintain sales programs by keeping customers informed directly about available services, equipment, prices, and new products. Products include brine equipment, installation, parts, and service.
  • Aid customers in selection of brine equipment for specific applications.
  • Aid with product trouble diagnoses and resolution.
  • Travel schedule to effectively manage assigned territory (Central US).
  • Knowledge of features, benefits and use of products, with understanding of selling techniques and ability to close sales within the municipal and dealer sector.
  • Manage municipal bid process when required.

What This Role Needs

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or Related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in direct sales or account management
  • Snow and ice equipment industry and municipal sales experience preferred but not required
  • Aptitude to gain extensive snow and ice equipment industry knowledge, with an emphasis on brine products
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem analysis and resolution ability; ability to work with brine equipment specifications
  • Tech skills required with knowledge of Microsoft products, including Excel and Word in Windows environment
  • Organizational, detail, and follow-up skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong team player

Pay

Competitive salary commensurate with experience, including strong commission structure.

Schedule

Travel schedule to effectively manage assigned territory (Central US).
