About the role

The HVAC Equipment Account Executive is responsible for the sale of Johnson Controls HVAC Equipment offerings to mechanical contractors, designers, consulting engineers, and owners. This position involves developing long-term customer relationships, renewing and expanding renewable service agreements, and promoting Building Controls offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Sells Johnson Controls HVAC Equipment offerings persuasively, persistently, and confidently to contractors, consultants, and designers.
  • Manages multiple ongoing opportunities, including renewing and expanding renewable service agreements.
  • Buys into partnering relationships with the owner construction community responsible for the decision-making process.
  • Develops and maintains a network of industry contacts, understanding and leveraging the sales process outcomes.
  • Differentiates Johnson Controls services and products from competitors by applying creativity, ingenuity, and innovation in a value-added sales approach.
  • Effectively writes and presents proposals, negotiating value and addressing resistance to close sales.
  • Ensures customer training and orientation to system operation and the value of services delivered.
  • Acts as the customer’s advocate in interactions with Johnson Controls to ensure they obtain the best value from Johnson Controls offerings.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful field technical sales experience or 3+ years of mechanical engineering professional experience.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and quality in business.
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Commercial HVAC industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and building controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Technical knowledge of HVAC systems and building controls.
  • Proficiency in CRM software.

Pay

Hiring salary range: $88,000 - 137,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account project, quarterly, and annual margin.

Schedule

This position is onsite and candidates must be commuting distance to Providence, RI.
