About the role

The Regional Sales Manager will develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with the company’s dealers, dealer sales force, direct accounts, and end users. This individual will achieve all annual sales and performance goals while working with the Regional Sales Director to accomplish the region’s annual business plan.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrations, installation, and training of equipment
  • Report a monthly itinerary and all significant regional activity to the Regional Sales Director, including:
    • Ongoing product performance
    • Competitive intelligence
    • Dealer activity
    • Sales strategy development
    • New product development
    • Dealer issues, customer service, technical service, etc.
  • Perform quarterly business reviews with dealers
  • Provide weekly sales forecasts
  • Resolve sales issues, product service issues, equipment-related issues, and dealer problems in a timely and effective manner
  • Travel within the sales region to maintain, develop, and grow business with customers, including dealers, national accounts, and end-users
  • Direct and participate in developing, motivating, and training the dealer sales force to sell Advance, Clarke, and Viper Commercial equipment
  • Maintain a dealer prospect list and coordinate sales calls with the Regional Sales Director to develop new business opportunities
  • Maintain a customer database and integrate daily sales call activities into Salesforce.com
  • Make daily sales calls on key end-users to drive new project starts and increase market share
  • Track and manage all new project starts via the Sales Pipeline in Salesforce.com
  • Perform building surveys and product demonstrations
  • Utilize all sales tools and resources to ensure successful project completion
  • Displace competitive machine lines within dealerships to improve market penetration and sales
  • Develop single-source relationships with dealers
  • Communicate product information to all dealers in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinate sales efforts with National Accounts through National Account Managers and Government Account Managers
  • Perform field tests in support of product management teams
  • Forge long-lasting, profitable relationships with dealer partners across all market segments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the sanitary supply industry or a related industry
  • Experience and accomplishments in dealer channel management and end-user sales/account management
  • Strong work ethic and initiative in problem-solving and implementing corrective action plans
  • Maturity as a business professional with the acumen necessary for success in this position
  • Strong selling skills and end-user account management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel pivot tables, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com for planning, execution, pipeline management, and lead tracking
  • Effective time and territory management skills
  • Solid problem-solving skills and ability to perform gap analyses, action plan development, and implementation
  • Willingness to travel overnight as required
  • Ability to transport company products (commercial floor cleaning equipment and accessories) for demonstrations
  • Capability to conduct product seminars and presentations in front of an audience
  • Ability to pass a physical, including lifting, standing for prolonged periods, and safe driving

Pay

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $80,200.00 - $100,200.00. The actual pay offered may vary based on qualifications, relevant experience, unique skills, education level, certifications or licenses, and location. This range may be modified in the future and may include potential bonus incentives such as annual bonuses, sales-related incentives, or overtime (where eligible). The final pay determination will comply with state or local minimum wage laws applicable to the job's location.
