About the role

As a Sales Manager for the US Northeastern Region at Teledyne HiRel and Micropac, you will drive the expansion of these product lines in the aerospace and defense markets. Your role involves developing and executing market strategies, identifying and cultivating customer relationships, conducting market research, delivering technical presentations, managing sales forecasts, and collaborating across various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute market strategies to achieve sales goals for Teledyne HiRel and Micropac products.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with current and potential customers.
  • Conduct market research and provide insights to guide product development.
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals to close deals.
  • Manage sales forecasting, planning, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales support, and distributor networks.
  • Train and support manufacturer representatives and franchised distributors.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and government regulations.
  • Meet or exceed established sales quotas and revenue targets.

Requirements

  • Strong technical sales skills and ability to influence decision-makers.
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor sales.
  • Familiarity with RF semiconductors, power semiconductors, modules/hybrids, and optocouplers.
  • Experience in aerospace and defense industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage large territories and diverse product lines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Able to travel within the Northeast region.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Qualifications

We seek candidates who bring a strong technical background, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for innovation. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, and 5+ years of experience in semiconductor sales, particularly in RF semiconductors, power semiconductors, modules/hybrids, and optocouplers. Experience in the aerospace and defense industry is preferred, but not required.

Skills

Technical sales skills, market research capabilities, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams are essential. Excellent communication and presentation skills are also crucial for success in this role.
