Regional Sales Manager, Southern California
About the role
As the Regional Sales Manager, you will develop and manage a business operation that increases sales, profitability, market share, and customer and employee satisfaction in the Mid-West Region (Chicago area). This leadership role oversees the Sales Team, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded through mentoring, coaching, and strategic planning. You will handle complex sales queries, close sales, and collaborate across departments to drive growth and maintain Caesarstone’s market-leading position.
Responsibilities
- Assess local market conditions, identify sales opportunities, and develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans for the region.
- Develop and implement sales and profitability plans, including account plans and P&L accountability for the region.
- Ensure proper staffing, direction, and talent development of the sales team through training, coaching, performance evaluations, and motivation.
- Recommend policy and goal changes to improve regional and organizational performance.
- Communicate effectively with other regions, departments, and senior leaders to share best practices, competitive intelligence, and business opportunities.
- Provide accurate forecasting for sales, budget, and inventory planning.
- Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly.
- Collaborate with Corporate Credit and Collections to enforce credit policies and ensure account credit limits meet customer needs.
- Ensure the safekeeping of company assets, including structures, equipment, inventory, and cash.
- Participate in community, business, and industry organizations to build the region’s and company’s reputation.
Requirements
- University degree in business or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of direct work experience, including at least 5 years in a management capacity; building products industry experience is a plus.
- Experience in all aspects of sales, including growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development, and business planning.
- Strong knowledge of retail and/or commercial sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to re-engineer sales operations, develop new policies, and implement strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and direct sales forces, supervise and train employees, and organize work assignments.
- Solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Excellent teamwork and team-building skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate departments, business partners, and customers.
- Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management, and budgeting techniques.
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate and organize meetings, exhibits, and events.
- High proficiency with IT systems such as CRM (Salesforce) and Oracle.
Working Conditions
- Significant local travel to current and potential clients within the Mid-West Region.
- Flexible schedule with occasional overnight travel for customer visits.
- Work environment varies from office, showrooms, trade shows to industrial/manufacturing facilities.
- Manual dexterity required for desktop computer use.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs.

Pay
The anticipated total compensation range for this position is between $150,000 and $190,000, which includes a base salary and an incentive bonus opportunity. Base compensation is determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
