Regional Sales Manager - IP&E Southwest
Regional Sales Manager overseeing the Southwest territory (Southern California, Phoenix, Texas). Hybrid schedule: Mondays in Irvine office, remainder of the week traveling; 3–4 overnights per month.
About the role
You will drive sales strategy and execution, recommend customer plans to the General Manager/Sales Director, and use data to shape direction. The role includes full management authority—recruiting, hiring, mentoring, performance reviews, pay decisions, and personnel actions—plus budget accountability for a medium-sized team or multiple small teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply-chain, engineering, supplier, or service-excellence strategies to capture value-added sales opportunities.
- Set and achieve branch sales goals, not just team targets.
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor sales staff; prepare development plans and deliver high-potential candidates for future management roles.
- Use managerial courage to make difficult decisions and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Strengthen relationships with key customer, supplier, and vendor contacts through superior service and operational excellence.
- Apply proven problem-solving techniques and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Increase management presence at customer accounts to access decision-makers.
- Lead the branch by instilling vision, creating enthusiasm, and using data to recommend process improvements.
- Participate in a sales compensation plan with a variable OTE component tied to specific sales-related goals.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 8 years with an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing professional employees, supervisors, or complex technical/business operations teams.
- Accountability for team performance and results within a functional discipline.
- Ability to adapt plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
- Decisions guided by policies, procedures, and business plans with guidance from senior management.
- Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues, and/or customers.
- Full management authority, including performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, and termination.
- Addresses cross-team issues based on knowledge of related disciplines.

Pay
Annual hiring range: $151,600 – $200,534. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level. The pay ratio between base salary and target incentive will be finalized at offer.
