Regional Sales Manager - IP&E Southwest
Regional Sales Manager – IP&E, Southwest territory (Southern California through Phoenix and Texas). Hybrid schedule: Mondays in Irvine office, remainder of week traveling; 3–4 overnights per month.
About the role
You will drive strategy and deliver results by making data-backed recommendations to the General Manager/Sales Director, implementing supply-chain, engineering, supplier, or service-excellence initiatives, and ensuring branch-level sales goals are met. You will recruit, hire, mentor, and develop sales staff, including high-potential future leaders, and use managerial courage to make difficult personnel decisions. As a key branch leader, you will foster customer, supplier, and vendor relationships, increase access to decision-makers, and champion process improvements. The role includes budgeting, planning, and participation in a sales-compensation plan with variable OTE tied to specific sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Recommend and execute branch strategy and customer plans.
- Analyze data to inform strategic decisions and direction.
- Identify and pursue value-added sales opportunities through supply-chain, engineering, supplier, or service-excellence strategies.
- Recruit, hire, mentor, and manage sales staff performance; prepare development plans and deliver high-potential candidates for future management roles.
- Enhance relationships with key customer, supplier, and vendor contacts through superior service and operational excellence.
- Implement effective problem-solving techniques and communicate across all organizational levels.
- Increase management presence at customer accounts to access decision-makers.
- Lead branch initiatives, instill vision, and create enthusiasm to achieve goals.
- Oversee budgeting, planning, and data-driven process improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 8 years with an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing professional employees, supervisors, or large technical/business support teams.
- Accountability for team performance and results within a function or discipline.
- Ability to adapt departmental plans to address resource and operational challenges.
- Decision-making guided by policies, procedures, and business plans with guidance from senior management.
- Provide technical guidance to employees, colleagues, or customers.
- Full management authority, including performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, and termination.
- Address issues with impact beyond your own team based on knowledge of related disciplines.

Pay
Annual hiring range: $151,600 – $200,534. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive will be finalized at offer.
