REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - SOUTHWEST
About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth within their assigned territory through distributor development, new business acquisition, end-user prospecting, and market expansion. This field-based role serves as the primary representative of NPX ONE within the territory, focusing on building relationships, generating new opportunities, and expanding market presence.
Responsibilities
- Manage business activities within the assigned territory to achieve sales, profitability, and growth objectives.
- Drive profitable growth through distributor development, new business acquisition, competitive conversions, and market expansion.
- Develop and execute territory growth plans to increase distribution penetration, expand market share, and drive profitable volume growth.
- Identify, recruit, onboard, and develop new distribution partners.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributor leadership, sales representatives, end users, and key decision-makers.
- Conduct joint sales calls and ride-alongs with distributor sales representatives.
- Create pull-through demand by working directly with end users and channel partners.
- Identify and execute competitive conversion opportunities.
- Maintain and grow assigned accounts in line with company objectives.
- Negotiate and maintain customer and distributor agreements.
- Manage pricing, margins, profitability, and territory performance.
- Utilize CRM systems for tracking and reporting.
- Stay informed on customer needs, market trends, and competitive activity.
- Conduct product demonstrations, training, and presentations.
- Represent NPX ONE at trade shows and industry events.
- Assist in sales forecasts, territory plans, and strategic initiatives.
- Address customer concerns and coordinate solutions with internal teams.
- Maintain regular communication with management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent sales/business development experience.
- 2–5+ years of outside sales, business development, packaging, foodservice, manufacturing, or distribution sales experience.
- Experience working through distribution channels preferred.
- Demonstrated success in generating new business and growing customer relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Travel Requirements
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including frequent visits to customers, distributors, and end users in the Southwest territory (TX, AR, OK, LA, MS, AL).
Schedule
Monday – Friday, with night and weekend availability as needed to service customers.
Working Conditions
Home office with frequent travel to customers, distributors, trade shows, and manufacturing locations.
Physical Demands
Sitting or standing for extended periods. Ability to lift 20–40 pounds. Reading computer screens and using office equipment.
