Regional Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the regional lead for safety programs, reporting directly to the Director of Safety.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on regional safety performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Leverage Samara safety technology platform
• Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and other applicable workplace safety standards.
• Provide guidance on DOT road safety and vehicle safety rules, ensuring drivers and fleet operations remain compliant.
• Conduct regular site visits, safety audits, and inspections across regional operations.
• Develop and deliver safety training, including OSHA-related courses, to managers, supervisors, and employees.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; develop corrective and preventive actions.
• Partner with operations leadership to drive accountability and foster a strong safety culture.
• Act as a trusted advisor, influencing teams at all levels to prioritize safety.

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Samara platform
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations; completion of OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour course strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of DOT road safety and vehicle safety regulations
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence others and drive safety initiatives
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across the assigned region

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in safety management within transportation, logistics, or related industries
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and train employees
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and implement data-driven improvements
• Certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent is a plus
