JOB SUMMARY The Regional Safety Manager at Traders Point Christian Church (TPCC) is directly responsible for the development, oversight, and coordination of the safety & security of church facilities, staff, members, guests, and assets. These duties include monitoring the security operations at TPCC during the week and weekend services. This position can be assigned to supervise Difference Makers and manage security operations at any of the current or future TPCC locations. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Regional Safety Manager has general oversight over the safety team and directly supervises safety staff and Difference Makers at their assigned campuses. DUTIES/PRIMARY JOB PRODUCTS Strive to keep all TPCC campuses at the cutting edge as it relates to security and safety. Recruit, train, resource and lead a team of Safety Volunteers across any of the TPCC campuses. Conduct security evaluations, supervise safety staff members/volunteers, while fostering a strong team culture Develop and implement safety and security protocols Create and coordinate emergency response procedures Gifted in skillful communication tactics with a high capacity to stay composed in confrontational and tense situations Strong ability to handle confidential matters and material with utmost excellence and professionalism Excellent task management skills that ensure effective and timely results Customer service oriented and a clear heart to serve others Functions as an armed defender. Responds to safety and security issues during regular business hours and worship services; on-call on days off and after hours as needed. INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS Serves on the Safety Team under the direct supervision of the Safety Director Collaborates with campus staff on safety/security issues. Collaborates with the Properties and Facilities Team on safety issues related to buildings, grounds and weekend experience. Works closely with staff and Difference Makers across all campuses and ministry areas to accomplish safety and security objectives. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Extensive knowledge of fire prevention, safety, and security operations. Excellent management and supervisory skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Integrity, honesty, good judgement, and servant’s heart Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Ability to think clearly and make sound decisions in the “heat of the moment” Must be able to work independently, be a self-starter, and take initiative EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE At least 5 years’ experience in law enforcement, security or public safety field desired. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Criminal Justice, Public Administration preferred. Experience leading people. Be able to successfully pass a background check. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENTS Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Physically able to work inside and outside in various weather conditions. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel or squat for extended periods of time. Ability to travel locally, nationally, and globally as needed. CLASSIFICATION Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt Full or Part-Time: Full Time Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday with occasional Saturday and evening hours. Ability to serve holidays and special events required.
