Responsibilities
- Maintains and updates safety programs and related safety materials, including OSHA 300 logs, safety recordkeeping, training records, safety audits, and other documentation for compliance.
- Conducts frequent safety audits to ensure safety, property, and environmental protection.
- Investigates personal injury, vehicle, or GL incidents/claims promptly and effectively.
- Provides consultative guidance and advice to management and project team members regarding safety.
- Coordinates site-specific safety plans and conducts/facilitates training on mandated and/or task-specific conditions, including safety orientations.
- Maintains awareness of industry trends and makes recommendations for policy or process improvements.
- Oversees the Safety Committee and provides leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Safety or related science with an emphasis in business or risk management coursework required, or equivalent experience.
- Up to three (3) years of experience in construction/industrial safety administration required.
- Knowledge and ability to enforce Federal, State, Local, and corporate safety regulations essential.
- Ability to recognize and address hazardous situations/conditions essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and decision-making abilities essential.
- Valid Driver's License in good standing required.
