Regional Safety Manager
About the role
Assist the Corporate Safety Director in managing the existing safety program. Perform daily inspections of projects in the assigned division to ensure employees are adhering to Company safety policies and procedures as well as ensuring compliance with CFR 1926 standards. Assist Division Managers and Operations Managers in any safety matters that arise such as development of site-specific safety plans, emergency action plans, and documentation of safety. Prepare and submit a weekly safety report to the Corporate Safety Director and Division Manager outlining any safety-related issues and/or non-compliance matters. Document and all incidents and/or injuries and take appropriate action under the direction and in accordance with corporate case management system(s). Assist in training, orientation and coaching of employees.
Requirements
- Construction Health and Safety Technician (“CHST”)
- OSHA Outreach Trainer (OSHA 500)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction safety
- Experience/education/understanding of excavation/trenches, shoring, confined space, fall protection, rigging, traffic control, and site safety plans
- Bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish preferred
