Regional Safety Manager

About the Role

McKee Utility Contractors is hiring a Regional Safety Manager for an ongoing project in San Marcos, TX. With over 40 years of expertise in water and wastewater line installation, tunneling, boring, and concrete structure construction, McKee is dedicated to delivering critical infrastructure that strengthens communities. Responsibilities

• Assist the Corporate Safety Director in managing the existing safety program.
• Perform daily inspections of projects in the assigned division to ensure compliance with Company safety policies, procedures, and CFR 1926 standards.
• Assist Division Managers and Operations Managers in safety matters, including developing site-specific safety plans, emergency action plans, and safety documentation.
• Prepare and submit a weekly safety report to the Corporate Safety Director and Division Manager, outlining safety-related issues and non-compliance matters.
• Document all incidents and injuries, taking appropriate action under the corporate case management system(s).
• Assist in training, orientation, and coaching of employees.

Qualifications

• Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification.
• OSHA Outreach Trainer (OSHA 500) certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction safety.
• Experience/education/understanding of excavation/trenches, shoring, confined space, fall protection, rigging, traffic control, and site safety plans.
• Bilingual candidates (English and Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
