Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Property Managers across a diverse multifamily portfolio.
- Drive operational excellence while ensuring properties consistently meet company standards for resident satisfaction, curb appeal, occupancy, and financial performance.
- Prepare, review, and manage annual operating budgets while partnering with Property Managers to analyze monthly financial results and address budget variances.
- Conduct variance meetings and collaborate with the Asset Management team to maximize portfolio performance.
- Partner with the Facilities Manager to prioritize and oversee capital improvement projects, preventative maintenance initiatives, and long-term asset preservation.
- Support leasing initiatives, marketing strategies, and lease-up efforts as needed while ensuring compliance with affirmative marketing requirements.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the region.
- Ensure compliance with all affordable housing regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Regional or District Property Manager experience.
- 5+ years of prior on-site multifamily management experience.
- Experience managing both affordable housing and market-rate communities.
- Strong knowledge of Project-Based Section 8, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other affordable housing programs.
- Demonstrated financial expertise including budgeting, operating statements, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience overseeing multiple Property Managers and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Yardi; experience with RentCafe and Maintenance IQ is highly preferred.
- CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) or comparable industry credential preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel regularly throughout the portfolio.
